Each of these schools will be receiving a $1,000 USD scholarship to be awarded to one eligible certified student of their choosing. Official scholarships were presented to these winners at the Washington Association for Career and Technical Education Conference in Yakima from August 5-8, 2012.

These scholarships were offered as part of the state’s recently launched Microsoft IT Academy Program. In September of last year, Microsoft, CCI Learning Solutions and the State of Washington Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) partnered to make Microsoft Office Specialist and Microsoft Technology Associate certifications available to each of the state’s 703 high schools, skills centers and tribal schools.
